Township Manager
TOWNSHIP MANAGER
Antis Township, just north of Altoona, Pennsylvania in Blair County, has initiated the search for their
next Township Manager. Located at the headwaters of the Juniata River, the Township is nestled
between the Appalachian Front and western-most mountain of the Appalachian Ridge and Valley.
Though the ridges are overwhelmingly tree covered and sparsely populated, the valley is home to a
diverse suburban community of residential dwellings, manufacturing firms, retailers, recreational
amenities, and small farms.
Policy is set by a board of five Supervisors and the Township operates under Pennsylvania’s Second-
Class Township Code. The Township has made a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the
community. Working together, an exceptional leadership team has continued to bring or facilitate both
economic development and municipal services to the community. This includes public safety, roadways
and other public works, trail and recreation facilities, a public library, storm water management,
recycling and composting services, and economic and community development.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required. A more detailed description of the position and
community is posted on the Township's website (antistownship.org) or may be requested via email.
The initial deadline for submission shall be August 31, 2021, but the Township shall continue to
accept letters of interest and resume' packages until the position has been successfully filled.
