Engineering Technician, Process Engineer
Blatek, Inc., a leading independent manufacturer of piezocomposite materials and transducers for medical and industrial applications, has openings in our Engineering department for individuals who would thrive in a small team environment.
We are currently looking to fill the following roles:
Engineering Technician- Perform prototype and pre-production builds, support the documentation efforts resulting from these builds, and maintain established quality and productivity standards by reading and following written production instructions and ISO documented procedures. Successful candidates will be meticulous, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities.
At least four years of related experience, along with a strong knowledge of all the skills that are necessary to assemble a variety of ultrasonic transducers is required, including excellent soldering, adhesive bonding and precision assembly skills. In addition, good relationship building skills and the ability to effectively interact with others in performing assigned duties is required.
Process Engineer- Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes, confirming system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods, improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow and equipment layout, lead and support the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process, manage manufacturing documentation required for product manufacturing, work with Product Engineering on new product development, complete design and development projects by training and mentoring technicians and prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related technical field is required as well as 5 years of related experience. Strong knowledge of process engineering concepts, practices and procedures, excellent troubleshooting skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and a basic understanding of project management techniques are essential.
