We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Technologies Manager to join our team. Responsibilities:  Assist the OMO Director in coordinating, planning, and leading instructional technology related objectives.  Operate and maintain software to control AV technologies.  Periodically test the operation of all built-in AV systems.  Schedule requests for instructional technology services.  Deliver, set up and retrieve instructional technology equipment requested by the client.  Provide training to faculty, staff, and students in the application and use of instructional technology equipment and educational materials.  Secure equipment and materials and perform maintenance and troubleshooting of instructional technology control systems.  Provide over-the-counter and telephone customer service.  Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and repairing minor equipment problems.

 

Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology or a related field required.  A minimum of (3) three years of experience in the management, operation and maintenance of audiovisual/production/instructional technology equipment required.  Also, a minimum of (3) three years of IT Management experience is required.  Technology Specialist Certification (CTS) preferred.  Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions. Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.  Must possess strong creative and analytical thinking skills as well as good verbal and interpersonal skills.

 

 

Conditions of Employment: This is a Non-Union Position.  Please be advised, COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not required for faculty and staff to be employed at Bowie State University.  This protocol is subject to change.

 

SALARY:  $60,000 - $70,000
