ASSOCIATE DIR/EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS
Develops a wide range of strategic communications on behalf of the Central Michigan University president to broadly communicate the university’s strategic vision and initiatives. Working closely with the president, Chief of Staff to the President and the president’s cabinet, and in collaboration with the University Communications team, the associate director will craft a variety of communications for several internal and external stakeholder groups, including correspondence, formal speeches, presentations, internal communications and other collateral materials. The associate director also plays an essential role in protecting and enhancing the university’s reputation through crisis and issue management, under the direction of University Communications leadership. Required: Bachelor’s degree, 5 years progressively responsible experience including executive-level writing and communications experience and speech-writing for a high-level executive.
