Assistant or Associate Professor
Assistant or Associate Professor - Ferris State University. The Department of Electrical Engineering & Computing Technology (EET/CNS) invites applications for a 9-month, tenured-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level. Primary responsibilities include: preparing and delivering courses, utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met; and delivering courses in both classroom and an on-line format. Additionally, advising students, internship coordination, recruiting students, developing industry relationships, developing curriculum, and serving on various committees within the university. Teaching at regional satellite campuses may also be required, as well as working with student organizations. Faculty in the EET/CNS program are expected to teach a variety of courses across the curriculum, in both lower and upper undergraduate division courses. Topics include but not limited to: PLC, motion control, controls systems, digital and electronics principles, computer network systems.
Required: Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, or closely related field. Minimum of five years related technical work experience; Expert knowledge in programming (PLC, machine code, and/or high-level) and fundamental digital and electronics principles; Motion control and control systems experience; Excellent communication and teaching skills and strong interest in working with students.
