The Office of Information Technology at Indiana State University has an immediate opening for a Director of Technology Integration Services. This person will report to the Chief Information Officer.
The Director of Technology Integration Services provides leadership, guidance, and expertise in support of Indiana State University Computing Technology, including computing systems, storage systems, servers, and centralized desktop management tools. This position oversees the end-to-end integration of both on-premises and cloud-based information systems and services to maximize performance, resiliency, and security. This oversight includes local and cloud-based components, systems, services, and staff supervision (9 staff members) for system integration.
Applicants must demonstrate experience with a strong focus and commitment to change management and ITIL methodologies and a strong desire to mentor junior level staff to assist in their professional development.
The ideal candidate will have enterprise scale experience with the entire Microsoft product stack, including MS 365, or similar technologies such as RedHat Linux as well as experience specifying and procuring enterprise grade server and storage hardware. Additional experience evaluating hosted versus on premise applications is highly desirable as is experience integrating on premise applications with cloud-based systems.
Required Relevant Education & Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or related field. Experience: 5 or more years of hands-on experience in system administration of MS Windows or Linux Servers and hypervisor systems such as VMWare. Management experience in an IT Department including managing support and server system administrator personnel. Experience integrating on and off premises systems and applications.
