The College of Communication and Information (CCI) at Kent State University (KSU), located in Kent, Ohio, invites applications for Business Manager.  This position will report directly to the CCI Director, RCM and Business Operations in the College. 

 

This position’s primary duties will be focused within the School of Information, one of five schools in the College of Communication and Information. They will work closely with the Director of the School to assist with the business operations of the department.  This position will also assist the CCI Director with scholarship, data and process management within the College.  Strong excel skills preferred.

 

This position will perform business support functions including, but not limited to, budget preparation, purchasing, records management, grants management, and reports creation. The duties of this position include the following: compile and report financial information, utilize and maintain automated reporting systems, maintain and balance multiple accounts, correspond with entities both internal and external to the College, and research issues and present clear concise communication on problems and the reconciliation of solutions.

 

Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business plus a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Or a combination of education, training and experience equivalent to an Associate degree in business plus 10 years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring budgets and reconciling accounts in a multi-department or complex business environment.

Budgeting; accounting principles; personal computer applications *

Written and interpersonal communication

Ability To:

Communicate effectively with all components of the University and external constituents; manage people and projects
