The research laboratories of Dr. Sarah M. Assmann and Dr. Philip C. Bevilacqua at the Pennsylvania State University seek to hire an Assistant Research Professor. The successful candidate will perform biological research with a focus on bioinformatic and computational analysis of RNA structure-function relationships. The successful candidate will be expert in Python programming, will demonstrate mastery of the R programming environment, and will have an acute understanding of biostatistics. The successful applicant must have the ability to plan, execute, interpret, document, and troubleshoot independent research and to collaborate effectively with other computational and experimental members of a diverse research team. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals are required.
