Faculty, Mathematics III
The faculty will be responsible for student instruction, student advising, and educational
leadership. The primary focus of this position is on excellence in teaching mathematics, with
research recognized and valued, but not required. Teach a full load (15 credits/semester) in
Mathematics. Specific courses may include, but will not necessarily be limited to: Business
Mathematics, Developmental Math (Pre-Algebra, Elementary Algebra), Liberal Arts
Mathematics, Statistics, Geometry, and College Algebra and Trigonometry, Linear Algebra,
Calculus, and Differential Equations. Position will start in the Fall 2023 semester, August 2023.
Minimum education and experience:
- Master’s in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or closely related discipline with
emphasis and coursework in advanced Mathematics. - Three (3) years full-time teaching experience in mathematics, or two (2) years
equivalent full-time teaching experience in mathematics at the college level, or
independent experience designing and teaching mathematics courses at the college
level (for current/recently graduated doctoral students).
Minimum abilities and skills:
- Ability to teach creatively and effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Developed organizational skills.
- Interdisciplinary approach to education.
