Position Summary |
Under the direction of the Director of Major Gifts, the Major Gift Officer is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift donors (currently $25,000 and above). This can include the constituents of individuals, faculty/staff/retirees, alumni, organizations, private foundations and businesses/corporations, as assigned by the PCC Foundation. Major Gift Officers are pivotal front-line fundraisers on the Foundation team, working collaboratively with all Foundation staff in initiating and growing philanthropy for scholarship funds, key fundraising events, and priority fundraising initiatives. The Major Gift Officer matches college funding priorities and projects with donor interests, builds industry and community partnerships, and provides strategic guidance and support to faculty/staff on fundraising projects as assigned and appropriate to the specific job duties. This is a hybrid position with the expectation to be onsite 1-2 days per week at the Foundation's Offices at PCC Sylvania. Minimum Qualifications To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked). Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management, marketing, social sciences or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. In addition, five years of professional level fundraising experience in a higher education institution or non-profit setting. |
