MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The State College Borough Water Authority is accepting applications for a maintenance technician. The
State College Borough Water Authority serves State College Borough and portions of five Centre Region
municipalities. This position is part of the physical plant and requires good mechanical, electrical, and
general maintenance, and trouble shooting skills. The position will include; various maintenance
functions of the facilities and equipment, including building and grounds maintenance, record keeping,
and some clerical duties, as well as other related tasks as required. The position requires the ability to
participate in rotating weekend duty; and carry a pager to respond to emergency calls as necessary. The
successful candidate will be required to test for a Pennsylvania water operator’s license within 24
months of hire, and obtain a class C commercial driver’s license with Haz-Mat endorsement within 1
year of hire.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, the position will be required to perform
each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully. A full job description

applicants will be required to take a written aptitude test. Candidate must possess a valid Pennsylvania
Driver’s license.
