Director of the Clinical Trials Office

The Department of Research Administration at Upstate Medical University is looking for a Director of the Clinical Trials Office who will be responsible for oversight and operations of the clinical trials office. The successful candidate will be responsible for review/processing for all Industry Sponsored Clinical Trial Agreements through the Research Foundation (RF), including related CDAs, NDAs and Master Clinical Trial Agreements. The Director of the Clinical Trials Office will work collaboratively with Upstate’s Research Administration Operations Team to engage and support clinical faculty interested in developing a research program or expanding their current research interests, create and deploy strategic clinical research initiatives including providing information on the clinical research infrastructure and on-campus centralized resources. The Director will work collaboratively with the RF for SUNY central office and other SUNY campuses to negotiate master CTA’s, harmonize processes and contribute to system-wide initiatives. The successful candidate will foster good working relationships with study teams and industry partners, exhibit strong communication skills and ensure operational transparency.
