Speech Pathologist - OP Behavior

SUNY Upstate Medical University is currently accepting applications for Speech Language Pathologist opportunities in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation - Rehab Therapies. Openings available to provide services for adolescent children within our behavioral health unit in conjunction with the Golisano Childrens Hospital. Upstate provides an extensive onboarding opportunity with training and mentoring as well as ongoing educational opportunities.

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for direct patient care including comprehensive assessment and treatment of swallowing, feeding, speech, language, and cognitive disorders covering the spectrum of diagnoses. Collaborate with other health care providers and families. Attend designated clinics, rounds, and conferences. Participate in educational programs for staff, students, volunteers, and other professional health care personnel. Participate in training for new staff. Serve as a clinical instructor for students. Facilitate new program development.

Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, NYS licensure, clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent) and completion of clinical fellowship year required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
