Veterinary Assistant for horse Veterinarian

We are looking for someone (experience with horses is a big plus) to work with the veterinarian as they travel to horse appointments. You would be responsible for writing invoices (dictated by the vet), stocking the truck, helping with sending lab tests out and assisting with the appointments. Half the time is on the road with the veterinarian and half the time is in our office.  Answering the phone to clients, invoicing clients, filing and many administrative jobs. Sending out blood tests to labs, using computer software for test results, invoices and many other documents. Some days you may travel with the vet, as they travel to our patients. . It is a four day work week, most of the time with two days in the office and two days with the veterinarian. Horse veterinarians go to the horse, so the days are full of traveling locally from appointment to appointment. We are looking for someone detail orientated, computer friendly, able to write while travelling, who enjoys working outside and especially with horses. We are a small clinic with very close relationships with our clients. We work through Centre, Clinton and Blair county with stables and all kinds of horse owners.
