Summary of Opportunity
The renowned Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at Temple Health is seeking a dynamic Orthopaedic Surgeon Fellowship-Trained in Hand/Upper Extremity to join its growing team. The new faculty member will be mission-driven and strongly desire to align with a nationally recognized and thriving Department. The ideal candidate will immediately contribute to clinical care, education and research. Candidates will be committed to teaching in a center with a commitment to excellence and safety, and an interest or track record in clinical or basic research. Qualified candidates will be BE/BC in Orthopaedic Surgery, trained in an ACGME accredited residency and fellowship program, and possesses credentials for a faculty appointment at the minimum level of Assistant Professor. Both fellows and experienced physicians are welcome to apply.
The Department currently consists of (17) full and part-time faculty members, all of whom have specific subspecialty interests, and an ACGME training program consisting of (20) residents. Clinical/basic science research and teaching medical & podiatry students are active endeavors in our Department. We have (4) offices located throughout the Philadelphia area. Our main offices are based at the Temple University Hospital campus in North Philadelphia with other free-standing satellites throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. Each location is staffed by a team of board-certified orthopaedic surgeons and physicians, licensed physical therapists, and certified athletic trainers. Radiology services are available at all our sites.
