Job Description
The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing all maintenance and repairs needed on the property. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Air conditioning and refrigeration - Electrical - Mechanical - Plumbing - Pneumatic/electronic systems and controls - Carpentry and finish skills - Kitchen equipment - Vehicles - Energy conservation - Pool operations - General building maintenance
Requirements
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for Hotel Maintenance Engineer include: - High School Diploma or equivalency and a technical background preferred. - At least 2 years of related work or hotel engineering/maintenance experience. - Must have prior experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. - Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job including sitting, bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for up to 90% of the workday and lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. - Perform engineering-related duties and mid-level troubleshooting of all hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. - Certified pool operator and ServSafe certification. - Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements. - Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. - An independent thinker, able to make decisions based upon information gathered from appropriate resources. - Must possess a valid driver’s license, proper insurance coverage, and a clean driving record for business-related travel.
