Class A Driver

Pay Rate: $15.00 HR

This position will drive a truck with capacity of more than 46,000 lbs. to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

Drives truck to destination.

Prepares and completes trip sheets for each run. 

Occasionally, collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges. 

Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. 

Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. 

Loads and unloads trucks when necessary. 

Must conform to all State and Federal Safety regulations. 

Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. 

Position blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit. 

Responsible for supporting and bringing to life the vision, mission and core values of the ADMS Division.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and/or SKILLS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have a Class A California Commercial Driver's License, with air brake endorsement.
