The Tavern restaurant in downtown State College is looking for experienced cooks to join our back of house team. The Tavern recently underwent extensive renovations including a full kitchen remodel. Qualified applicants who complete 6 months of employment will also receive a $500 hiring bonus, and $250 for any other referred candidates who are hired. Pay rate is $16-$20 / hr. depending on experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- working opening and closing shifts
- working weekdays, weekends and some holidays
- must have knowledge of food safety and proper sanitation practices
- cooks may work on several different stations including grill, fryer, desserts, salads, etc...
- cooks may be scheduled to help with morning prep work including preparation of vegetables, sides, sauces, salad dressings, etc...
