HR Recruiter
Trans Ova in Sioux Center, IA is looking for a FULL TIME HR Recruiter to join our team!
Position Purpose: Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting, assisting and advising supervisors during the selection process, and completing pre-employment screenings.
Key Responsibilities:

Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specification, job duties, qualifications, and skills; supporting the strategic management process in staffing.

Works with supervisors to develop job descriptions and interview questions for positions.

Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.

Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.

Develops and places job advertising in various media.

Develops and coordinates internal job posting and employee referral program.

Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.

Utilizes online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.

Initiates contact with possible qualified candidates for specific job openings.

Schedules and coordinates interviews with applicant.
-
Notifies applicants when position is filled.

Coordinates job shadows and externships for college and vet school students and the appropriate department.

Coordinates participation in and attends career fairs.

Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.

Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.

Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants.

Performs reference checks on applicants.

Compiles and extends offer letter, benefit summary and applicable employment agreements to selected candidates after management approval.

Completes background check and drug screening post offer with vendor.

Responsible for files and maintains employment records for applicants for future reference.

Responsible for coordinating Trans Ova housing for interns, trainees, and visiting team members.

Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova’s industry position.

Follows Trans Ova’s policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Some travel is required for career fairs, college visits, etc. (10% of time). Position is primarily sedentary in an office environment. This position requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. This position will occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and frequently move up to 10 pounds of force to move forms, boxes, and other materials as required. Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High degree of professionalism required.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet Research.
Experience with HRIS Recruiting software preferred.
Experience in general HR functions is preferred.
