WEB DEVELOPER AND CONTENT MANAGER
Salary: $58,600-$119,800/Annual; Budgeted salary range $58,600-$70,000/Annual, commensurate with experience

Under general direction of the Department Chair, responsible for providing graphic design, coordination and creating/writing content for the Biological & Agricultural Engineering (BAE) web pages, and developing a comprehensive departmental web site.
Development and administration includes evaluating, designing, writing, editing, producing, procuring, and maintaining content, visual style, site architecture and layout, and navigation. Take initiative and recommend and/or select appropriate publications and web-based solutions. Develop project timelines and production schedules and coordinate with departmental faculty and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Certificate degree in website design.
• Experience and/or education in journalism and marketing
• Experience in integrated communication, planning, and communication techniques.
• Experience using advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills to use language accurately and creatively in a variety of formal and casual registers and styles, such as academic, technical, news, and hypertext; and to compose and edit documents, to evaluate copy for value, logic, and stylistic consistency, and to communicate effectively to different audiences.
• Experience identifying and using effective communication approaches and media to communicate frequently changing information and to clearly distill and communicate the essence of the program to various audiences, including prospective students and their families, current students, potential employers and other stakeholders.
• Experience with PC-based graphic design, web authoring and word processing software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver, to develop integrated, innovative, and visually attractive web pages.
• Experience with website markup.
• Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAGII to apply principles to websites to ensure compliance.
• Leadership and decision-making skills to conduct meetings, problem solve, and evaluate business needs.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse clients and audiences.
• Organizational skills to plan, schedule, and coordinate projects, achieve timely progress on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity and professionalism.
• Skill to design, plan, identify goals, and implement websites utilizing web technologies and markup languages.
• Skill to design effective website architecture, including logical navigation, attractive user interfaces and page layouts, and efficient management of content.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of campus branding and web/print publication standards.
• Analytical skills to understand complex data and theoretical concepts in a wide variety of academic and business disciplines and to synthesize and distill such information into concise messaging for professional or lay audiences.
• Ability to plan, write, implement, and debug HTML, CSS, and related file structures.
