CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, UNIVERSITY at BUFFALO FOUNDATION

 

The University at Buffalo Foundation Board of Trustees invites applications, nominations, and inquiries for the position of Chief Financial Officer.

 

The University at Buffalo Foundation (UB Foundation), a private, not-for-profit educational corporation, plays a vital role in helping the University at Buffalo (UB) to pursue its mission and vision to establish, enhance, and expand its global reputation for excellence. The UB Foundation supports and promotes UB’s activities and programs by managing UB’s endowment, managing gifts and grants on behalf of UB, providing a wide range of financial services, developing and managing real property on behalf of UB, providing advice and counsel regarding philanthropy and fundraising, and providing a strong base of private sector support for UB through the Foundation’s Board. Throughout the years, the UB Foundation has focused its efforts on helping UB elevate its impact and reach as a premier public research university, the largest and most comprehensive campus in the 64-campus The State University of New York (SUNY) system, and one of just two SUNY schools belonging to the prestigious American Association of Universities.

 

The UB Foundation is comprised of seven affiliates, each an independent 501(c)(3) entity. UB Foundation and its affiliated corporations have total assets in excess of $1.5 billion and annual revenue of approximately $170 million. Reporting to the UB Foundation Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for managing the financial and accounting functions of the University at Buffalo Foundation and its affiliated corporations (having total assets in excess of $1.5 billion) and the administration of annual revenue of approximately $170 million. Areas of responsibility include accounting, reconciling, budget development and tracking, capital expenditures and debt financing.
