Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enterprise Applications
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enterprise Applications for the Office of OneIT. The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative and service goals.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, with a strong focus on data science and business analytics. Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise applications, including demonstrated success in data and analytics. Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, including excellent communication and consensus-building skills.
Essential Job Duties: The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enterprise Applications leads OneIT’s Enterprise Applications department in providing enterprise systems and related subsystems that directly support the university’s academic mission. This position manages the performance planning cycle and day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Applications team, and establishes the vision for resources, programs, and projects.
The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enterprise Applications is responsible for the leadership and direction of the University’s enterprise systems and related subcomponents. Enterprise Applications is organized into five groups: ERP Systems, Salesforce CRM, Data & Analytics, Workflow & Imaging, and Application Infrastructure. These groups are responsible for database administration, system integration, system design, programming, planning, implementation, development of new applications, and ongoing maintenance and support of the various administrative information systems. These systems range from departmental applications to enterprise systems such as Ellucian’s Banner solution. Enterprise Applications is tasked with ensuring that IT solutions fully support business processes and that the chosen solutions are cost-effectively developed and maintained. As a member of the CIO’s senior leadership team, the AVC participates in strategic planning discussions for campus IT initiatives. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the enterprise applications and reporting functions of OneIT.
