Business Intelligence & Performance Analytics Senior Developer, Greenwich, CT: Viking Global Investors LP seeks Business Intelligence & Performance Analytics Senior Developer.
Design, develop, implement and manage digital solutions through which business intelligence (BI) and enterprise information flows to users:
- Design, extract and model domain for dashboards and reporting, targeting multiple business functions, including Performance & Risk, Investor Relations, Legal and Compliance.
- Install, configure, and maintain BI platform.
- Integrate platform with Cloud data sources such as AWS (Amazon Web Services).
- Design and enforce application security and user administration.
- Write MS SQL code to support Performance & Risk calculations, including related to Analyst P&L, Investment Performance Attribution, and Fund Exposures.
- Perform revisions, repairs, and/or enhance queries to adapt to new requirements. Perform regression testing on changes to environment.
- Build platform workflow and orchestration. Provide on-call BI production support. Build ongoing alert and exception processes to ensure information accuracy.
- Manage master data for domain model, including data such as Analyst, Team, Legal Entity and Portfolio.
- Tools used include: Microsoft SQL Server, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Redshift Spectrum, and Athena.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field with a focus on information technology (foreign equivalent degree acceptable) plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in business intelligence technology solutions development.
- This must include 5 years of experience in/with:
- Commercial BI and data analysis technologies such as MicroStrategy, Business Objects, QlikView, Tableau, Microsoft Reporting and/or Analysis Services;
- Large (1+terabyte) data warehouses.
- 3 years of experience in/with:
- SQL programming to read, write and execute data from data management systems;
- ETL (extract-transform-load) using SSIS and/or a similar platform;
- Analyzing and troubleshooting data quality issues, and tuning data queries and reports, as part of the data building process; and
- Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
